About the Position

Cornell University is seeking a talented Licensed Veterinary Technician I to join our team at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where you can develop and grow your career.

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician I, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinary team. Your duties will include exercising an independent and self-motivated spirit, participating in a team-based approach to excellent patient care, and managing care of all patients, including those who are critically ill.

We are looking for an individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people. If you are enthusiastic, flexible, and have a positive attitude, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to our veterinary team
  • Exercise an independent and self-motivated spirit
  • Participate in a team-based approach to excellent patient care
  • Manage care of all patients, including those who are critically ill
  • Communicate effectively with the veterinary team and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
  • Expected to obtain NYS licensure within 3 months
  • Up to 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent combination
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
