Emergency Veterinary Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Medicine team at VCA Colonial Animal Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform physical examinations and patient assessments to identify and address medical issues
  • Manage patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
  • Administer IV fluids, CRI, and medications as needed
  • Operate radiology equipment and assist with diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Provide anesthesia patient care and assist with surgical procedures
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide education on animal care and health
