Position Overview:
Leidos is currently seeking a

Sustainability Consultant

to promote and support energy conservation initiatives at large-scale industrial and commercial establishments.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for proactive individuals with exceptional outreach, sales, communication, and organizational skills to advocate for advanced energy efficiency projects within a collaborative team setting.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify energy-saving opportunities and calculate potential savings.
  • Maintain robust relationships with clients and deliver impactful presentations.
  • Engage directly with large commercial, industrial, and governmental facility owners.
  • Collaborate with facility managers, engineers, and contractors to promote energy-efficient practices.
  • Educate clients and provide training on energy-related topics.
  • Assess energy-consuming systems and consult on energy efficiency programs.
  • Build and nurture relationships with customers and vendors to stay informed about energy efficiency technologies.
  • Conduct field verification of energy efficiency implementations.

Qualifications:


A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, accompanied by a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in energy efficiency or energy management.

Experience in industrial manufacturing or commercial building retro-commissioning is advantageous.

Proven ability to develop relationships with clients, vendors, and professional organizations, demonstrating knowledge of energy efficiency trends and regulations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Demonstrated productivity and accuracy in work performance are critical.

This role necessitates a valid driver's license and the physical capability to conduct field verification tasks.


Preferred Experience:
Five or more (5+) years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing, commercial retro-commissioning, or strategic energy management practices.
