Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Intern to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI. As a Mechanical Intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants on engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with design portions of projects related to mechanical systems, adhering to code and IMEG standards
  • Conduct research on commercially available equipment and assist with documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations
  • Document design decisions, meetings, and instructions from clients, while monitoring project design progress
  • Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check
  • Prepare and issue addendum information as required
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and other services as required by the contract services agreement
Requirements
  • Strong interest in design consulting and mechanical engineering
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
About the Role

This position is not eligible for sponsorship. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in design consulting and mechanical engineering, with a completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required. Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry is preferred.
