Job Summary

The National Western Center is seeking an experienced Event Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for managing the execution of events from post-contract signing to close out. This includes providing end-to-end management of events, collaborating with facilities staff and vendors, and creating a positive and memorable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of best-in-class event client relationship management, including client care and coordination meetings, pre-event walkthroughs, and review of campus logistics.
  • Partner with Operations and Facilities teams to communicate and coordinate event specific details, maintain event tracking documents, and produce accurate and timely post-event invoicing details for Finance.
  • Oversee event load in process to ensure all details are accurate prior to load in, and continue to walk venue throughout event with Operations staff to provide client and guest support.
  • Administer venue policies and regulations, actively inform clients during the planning process, document details for records, and provide mature crisis and event problem management.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in event management and production, with experience in corporate events, expos, nonprofit community events, livestock and equestrian events, concerts, and entertainment events in a multi-facility campus a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or proven relevant experience in the field.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to analyze and process improve strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and remaining productive and professional.
  • Diverse toolbox of skills, proficiency and experience in event project management, technology including MS Office 365 suite, Tripleseat or similar event management software, and basic budget and expense management.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • High EQ and interpersonal skills.
