Production Systems Application Support Engineer at Evolver Commercial

Evolver Commercial is on the lookout for a skilled Production Systems Application Support Engineer. This pivotal role involves overseeing and coordinating technology-driven infrastructure and business initiatives. You will ensure that all infrastructure development activities are in line with our internal best practices and standards, acting as a vital contact point for application support challenges. Your expertise will be essential in addressing complex issues related to various applications and systems, particularly for our Investment Management clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage and resolve IT infrastructure incidents and service requests, ensuring accurate updates in service desk management systems.
  • Establish and uphold documentation protocols for the ongoing management and administration of infrastructure and application operational guides.
  • Act as a liaison between infrastructure operations and vendors to tackle performance challenges and conduct thorough problem analysis.
  • Facilitate performance assessments, recommendations, and enhancements for both infrastructure and applications.
  • Ensure compliance with architectural standards and corporate policies.
  • Address application support escalations by troubleshooting technical issues and resolving data or configuration discrepancies.
  • Collaborate effectively with various internal teams to resolve end-user concerns.
  • Engage with colleagues on intricate projects as necessary, including office and data center initiatives and application upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedure documentation as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience in application support and deployments.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in production support roles.
  • Proficiency in Azure, including hybrid and on/off-premises cloud services (experience with AWS or Google Cloud is a plus).
  • Experience as a site resilience engineer.
  • Familiarity with Dynatrace Monitoring as an observability tool.
  • Background in Investment Management, Brokerage, Asset Management, or Financial Services.
  • Proficient in service ticket management systems such as ServiceNow or ConnectWise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with monitoring tools like Solarwinds, ScienceLogic, or Argent.
  • Ability to write scripts in languages such as PowerShell or JavaScript, along with SQL queries (Microsoft SQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and project planning tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft .NET development.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
  • Understanding of Configuration Management and DevOps methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a focus on documentation, metrics, and trend analysis reporting, along with a commitment to continuous process improvement.
