Position Summary
Evolver is seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer specializing in Production Systems. This role is pivotal in steering and managing infrastructure and business initiatives from a technological standpoint, ensuring that development activities align with the organization's internal best practices and standards. The selected candidate will act as a primary escalation contact for application support challenges and must adeptly navigate complex issues associated with various applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the prompt resolution of IT infrastructure incidents and service requests, ensuring accurate updates to service desk management systems.
- Develop and uphold comprehensive documentation processes for ongoing operations and administration of infrastructure and application run books.
- Serve as a crucial link between infrastructure operations and vendors to tackle performance challenges and conduct thorough problem analysis until resolution.
- Coordinate performance evaluations, recommendations, and enhancements for both infrastructure and applications.
- Ensure compliance with architectural standards and corporate policies.
- Address application support escalations, focusing on troubleshooting technical issues and resolving data or configuration discrepancies.
- Collaborate with various internal teams across different departments to address end-user concerns.
- Engage with colleagues on intricate projects as necessary (e.g., office and data center initiatives, application upgrades, etc.).
- Create and maintain documentation for operational procedures as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Over 6 years of practical experience in application support and deployments.
- At least 4 years of experience in the following areas:
- Production support
- Azure - hybrid, on/off-premises cloud services; experience with AWS or Google Cloud may be considered as alternatives.
- Site resilience engineering
- Dynatrace Monitoring (observability tool)
- Experience in Investment Management, Brokerage, Asset Management, or Financial Services.
- Proficient with service ticket management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, ConnectWise).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Solarwinds, ScienceLogic, Argent).
- Experience in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, JavaScript) and SQL queries (e.g., Microsoft SQL, Oracle).
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and project planning tools.
- Experience in Microsoft .NET development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- PowerShell scripting expertise.
- Experience with Configuration Management and DevOps tools.
- Strong organizational skills, documentation abilities, and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
