Position Overview:We are looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer to spearhead the technical development of our proprietary server system offerings. This role provides a unique chance to define and implement cutting-edge data center and server technologies, as well as to create compelling proof of concepts and technical presentations that highlight our products at industry events.
Key Responsibilities:The following duties are essential to this role (additional responsibilities may be assigned):
- Design and develop application benchmarks that align with enterprise computing needs and standard server architectures, including tools like HammerDB, MySQL, and advanced storage solutions.
- Conduct benchmark testing and create proof of concepts utilizing the latest data center technologies and our server products.
- Collaborate with product managers and system engineers to produce technical marketing materials and white papers for online and industry event dissemination.
- Engage in continuous learning and research to identify new technologies and propose innovative proof of concepts.
- Work closely with sales teams and clients to deliver networking solutions and technical expertise.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in system engineering for server products.
- In-depth knowledge of server architecture and operating system concepts; familiarity with distributed computing is advantageous.
- Experience with benchmarking tools (FIO/IOMeter/HammerDB), PCIe protocols, and databases (SQL/MySQL).
- Proficient in configuring operating systems such as Windows Server, Ubuntu, and Redhat Enterprise Linux.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Powershell, Linux Shell) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of server hardware and architectures, including PCI Express and out-of-band management.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
