Evolver Commercial is in search of a skilled Production Systems Support Engineer to oversee and manage infrastructure and business initiatives from a technological standpoint. This position is essential for ensuring that infrastructure development aligns with our internal best practices and standards, acting as a vital liaison for application support challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage IT infrastructure-related incidents and service requests, ensuring timely updates in service desk management systems.
- Establish and uphold documentation protocols for the ongoing operations and administration of infrastructure and application run books.
- Act as a point of contact between infrastructure operations and vendors to resolve performance issues and conduct thorough problem analysis.
- Facilitate performance evaluations, recommendations, and enhancements for both infrastructure and applications.
- Ensure compliance with architectural standards and corporate policies.
- Address application support escalations, focusing on troubleshooting technical issues and resolving data or configuration discrepancies.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to effectively resolve end-user challenges.
- Engage with colleagues on complex projects as necessary, including office and data center initiatives and application upgrades.
- Develop and maintain operational procedure documentation as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience in application support and deployments.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in production support roles.
- Proficiency in Azure, including hybrid and on/off-prem cloud services (experience with AWS or Google Cloud is a plus).
- Experience as a site resilience engineer.
- Familiarity with Dynatrace Monitoring or similar observability tools.
- Background in Investment Management, Brokerage, Asset Management, or Financial Services.
- Experience with service ticket management systems such as ServiceNow or ConnectWise.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in monitoring tools like Solarwinds, ScienceLogic, or Argent.
- Skills in scripting languages (Powershell, Javascript) and SQL query writing (Microsoft SQL, Oracle).
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and project planning tools.
- Background in Microsoft .NET development.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of Configuration Management and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills, with a focus on documentation, metrics, and trend analysis reporting, and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
