Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Regulatory Compliance Evaluator to perform assessments across various regions, specifically focusing on the southern areas of the state.

Role Responsibilities

  • Execute evaluations throughout designated DCS regions to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Conduct community-based assessments to verify service delivery and billing accuracy.
  • Provide education, recommendations, and develop corrective action plans when discrepancies are identified.
  • Participate in comprehensive audits of provider practices from service initiation to billing.
  • Collaborate with a statewide team, engaging in regular meetings to discuss findings and improvements.
  • Suggest process enhancements within the team and division while adhering to all relevant state regulations and policies.
  • Attend training sessions to maintain a thorough understanding of compliance responsibilities.
  • Travel is necessary within the specified regions, with potential visits to central office meetings.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a Finance-related field, or equivalent experience in auditing or investigations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with state agencies and community programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Experience in developing and implementing corrective action plans for audits.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable state laws and service standards.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience as a billing auditor within a governmental agency.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA and other applicable standards.
  • Primarily sedentary work, with occasional movement required for meetings.
  • Capability to perform repetitive tasks using a computer.
