Position Overview
Reporting to the HEAD of IT Operations, the Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will be instrumental in the design, documentation, and implementation of various systems and processes that support both internal and external business functions. This role encompasses a blend of on-premises and cloud-based solutions. As a key member of the technical team, you will engage in business initiatives and projects related to our comprehensive infrastructure and application technology stack within the HTS group of companies, including networking, storage, servers, virtualization, and cloud services (Azure/AWS). You will also have opportunities for custom integrations through scripting and small-scale software development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance across all areas of KORE Solutions.
  • Stay informed on emerging technology trends and their application within KORE and the HTS Group.
  • Evaluate new systems and platforms for compatibility with the HTS Group.
  • Address complex challenges and recommend optimal solutions based on expertise and sound judgment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in your areas of focus from an IT product perspective.
  • Collaborate with the HEAD of IT Operations and the architecture team to envision the business architecture.
  • Communicate technical and architectural complexities in an accessible manner for business stakeholders.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities while working within a small, diverse team.
  • Influence outcomes positively, seeking win/win scenarios in all interactions.
  • Demonstrate above-average troubleshooting abilities for both technology and business processes.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience
  • University or college degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology) or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
Technical Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including storage, networking, and servers.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of Microservices Architecture.
  • Experience with datacenter processes and infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Azure and AWS.
  • Basic programming principles and comfort with common development platforms and languages.
  • Awareness of Operational Technology (OT).
General Skills
  • Exceptional communication abilities across various mediums.
  • Strong planning and documentation skills.
  • Analytical skills for technical problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
  • Understanding of Project and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
  • Familiarity with system integration approaches and requirements.

  • Fortinet NSE 4-8
  • CompTIA Security+
  • VMware Certified Technical Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

  • Operating Systems: Windows, RedHat/Debian.
  • Compute: Dell, HP.
  • Storage Solutions: Dell, HP & NetAPP.
  • Networking: Cisco, Fortinet, MikroTik.
  • Virtualization: VMWare, KVM.
  • Cloud Services: Azure/AWS.
  • Monitoring Tools: Zabbix/Grafana.
Software Development:
  • Proficiency in Python3, PowerShell, and C#.
  • Familiarity with Unix Shell (bash/sh) is preferred.
Business Software:
  • General knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Visual Studio Code.
