Job Summary

The Center For Discovery is seeking a skilled Group Facilitator to join our team. As a Group Facilitator, you will be responsible for facilitating group therapy sessions at our Residential Treatment Center and Inpatient level of care. This is a part-time position working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30am to 3pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Clinical Manager, Program Coordinator, Executive Director, and other professional staff to develop a comprehensive program of therapy, evaluation, and treatment.
  • Facilitate clinical groups, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.
  • Participate in de-escalation or crisis intervention when necessary, utilizing effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate pertinent information to the primary treatment team as needed, maintaining open and transparent communication.
  • Ensure documentation timeframes follow state and payer requirements, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Attend weekly treatment team and/or clinical meetings, staying informed about patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Serve as a liaison with the multidisciplinary treatment team, fostering collaboration and coordination.
  • Participate in company training, webinars, and related meetings, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy rules, maintaining confidentiality and protecting patient information.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements

This position requires a strong background in mental health, with experience in group facilitation and therapy. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for delivering high-quality care and a commitment to patient-centered treatment are essential for success in this role.
