Job Summary

Metro Parks Tacoma is seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant I/II to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our parks, buildings, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades to facilities and equipment.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including vehicles, tools, and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
