WSP is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Vice President specializing in the Wastewater Market for our West Region. This pivotal role will focus on strategic leadership and business development within the wastewater sector.

Your Role
Your main responsibility will be to deliver a forward-thinking vision for our wastewater market. You will spearhead business development initiatives, oversee project execution, mentor team members, and make crucial decisions that shape innovative infrastructure solutions for our key water clients on complex projects. Collaboration with local design teams and leveraging international expertise will be essential. Your ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients will be paramount in establishing trust and partnership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the wastewater market sector, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities while nurturing client relationships.
  • Engage in strategic planning and budgeting alongside leadership.
  • Attract and retain top-tier professionals in the industry.
  • Lead complex engineering projects, ensuring effective communication and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Oversee project scopes, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams, providing strategic insights and guidance.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of team members.
  • Exercise ethical decision-making in resource management and adhere to company policies.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with a specialization in Water/Wastewater.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is mandatory.
  • In-depth understanding of the wastewater market, particularly in the northwest region.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of water/wastewater engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and guide junior team members.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
