Director of Family Medicine Residency Program

The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a highly qualified Residency Program Director to lead our Family Medicine Residency Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the educational experience of our residents and providing educational guidance and administrative oversight to ensure programmatic compliance with ACGME requirements and core competency areas.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive educational plan that aligns with the program's mission and vision
- Recruit, select, and supervise residents, as well as provide guidance and support to faculty physicians
- Ensure compliance with ACGME requirements and core competency areas
- Develop and maintain a curriculum that meets the needs of our residents and prepares them for success in their careers
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in medical education and apply best practices to our program
- Represent the program at local, regional, and national levels, and participate in relevant professional organizations
- Strong interest in medical education and a commitment to excellence in patient care
- Sound clinical and teaching abilities, with a strong track record of success in residency education
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and residents to achieve program goals
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a strong track record of promoting these values in a work environment
