Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Island Hospitality. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Maintain Hotel Systems: Conduct regular inspections of hotel systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other equipment to identify and address any issues or defects.
  • Perform Repairs and Maintenance: Perform routine repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of hotel systems and equipment.
  • Ensure Guest Safety: Identify and report potential safety hazards, and take corrective action to prevent accidents and ensure guest safety.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other team members, including the Chief Engineer and Management team, to identify and address technical and skilled-related projects.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports to the management team on maintenance activities, issues, and recommendations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, including knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other hotel systems.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, management, and guests.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, and stand for extended periods of time.
