Responsibilities:

* Maintain the paint counter and aisles on a daily basis, ensuring a clean and organized store environment.
* Offer expert color matching and paint product selection advice to customers, providing personalized service and building strong relationships.
* Ensure the paint department is performing to expectations, meeting sales and customer service targets.
* Promote and assist in paint department hands-on workshops and experiences, driving customer engagement and loyalty.
* Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements, communicating effectively with the team and customers.
* Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management, ensuring seamless store operations.
* Assist in the training and development of peers, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
* Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards, maintaining a high level of store appearance.
* Participate in the processing of new shipments, ensuring efficient receiving and back stock area management.
* Aware of and able to respond to safety issues, maintaining a safe working environment.
* Aid customers in locating merchandise in store, on acehardware.com, and processing special orders.
* Solicit customers to open an Ace Rewards card, driving loyalty and retention.
* Answer customers' questions and provide information on procedures and policies, ensuring exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years paint store experience, with a focus on color matching, sales, and marketing.
* Strong relationships and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and the team.
* Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word, and Excel, with a commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
* Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to multitask and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to stand for extended periods, move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures, and lift 65 pounds frequently.
