Branch Operations Coordinator

The Assistant Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the Teller Unit, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service while managing transaction processes and addressing client concerns. This position supports the Operations Supervisor in the effective administration of all Teller unit activities, including daily operations, technical assistance, team guidance, and employee training. In the absence of the Operations Supervisor, the Assistant Operations Supervisor takes full responsibility for the teller unit and may perform teller duties during peak transaction periods.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Operations Supervisor in managing teller unit operations, inspiring staff to deliver outstanding customer service while handling routine banking and client service tasks.
- Act as a backup for the Operations Supervisor and tellers as required.
- Provide technical support and training to Tellers on operational procedures and relevant systems.
- Ensure that transactions are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Help manage work schedules and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Process standard banking transactions and address moderate customer inquiries.
- Support cash management functions, including monitoring reserve cash, distributing and collecting cash from tellers, and completing daily reconciliations.
- Respond promptly to sales and service needs to minimize customer wait times.
- Recommend appropriate Bank products and services to meet client requirements.
- Collaborate with the Operations Supervisor to assess staff performance and engage in the recruitment process.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant banking laws and regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) guidelines.
- Assist in the opening and closing procedures of the branch's cash vault.
- Conduct ATM reconciliations and provide transaction approvals to Tellers when necessary.
- Perform filing and general administrative tasks.
- Adhere to Apple Bank's Code of Conduct and all internal policies and procedures.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of prior teller experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
- Excellent listening, communication (both verbal and written), and interpersonal skills are required.
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt to new technological advancements are necessary.
- Demonstrate courteous and friendly behavior.
- Possess a solid understanding of various Bank products and services.
- Availability to work weekends and extended hours or at nearby branch locations as needed.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and a high level of integrity.
- Show a willingness and enthusiasm to engage in a team-oriented environment.
