Sr. Automation Assembly Technician

Argus Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Automation Assembly Technician to join our team. As a key member of our assembly team, you will play a critical role in assembling and maintaining complex machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble machinery, fabricated parts, electrical equipment, and more according to designs from our engineering team.
  • Collaborate with other team members to manage assigned tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, or blueprints, to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
  • Align, fit, or assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, or templates, and build ethernet connections and wire sensors.
  • Maintain technical and operational documentation, conduct quality inspections, and perform preventive or corrective maintenance.
  • Work closely with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and ensure that all systems are properly installed and functioning.
  • Install finished systems on customer sites and provide technical support as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, and adhere to all safety rules and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365.
  • Experience with hand tools and fabrication equipment, such as plasma tables, CNC, welder, brake press, and band saws.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work well as a productive member of a team.
  • Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
  • One year experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in a technical field from an accredited university or college, preferably automation systems and robotics.
  • Experience with assembly tools and materials.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with electronics assembly, soldering, and torque-controlled devices.
  • Demonstrated experience with root-cause and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience with quality control and facilitating continuous process improvement.
