Senior Automation Assembly Specialist

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assembles machinery, fabricated components, electrical apparatus, and more according to specifications provided by the engineering department.

Supports production and project initiatives by overseeing assigned responsibilities.

Interprets technical documentation, including diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

Aligns, fits, or assembles component parts utilizing hand tools, power tools, fixtures, or templates. Constructs ethernet connections and installs/mounts/wires sensors.

Maintains technical and operational records.

Conducts quality assessments on products and components.

Performs preventive or corrective maintenance as necessary.

Collaborates with team members and employs innovative problem-solving skills to address challenges.

Disassembles completed systems and prepares finished products for distribution.

Installs completed systems at client locations.

Serves as a resource for colleagues.

Maintains a tidy and organized workspace.

Adheres to all safety protocols, including safe work practices and standard operating procedures.

Undertakes additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED.

Basic proficiency in mathematics, reading, and writing.

Familiarity with software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365.

Experience with hand tools and fabrication equipment such as plasma tables, CNC machines, welders, brake presses, and band saws.

Detail-oriented approach.

Ability to function effectively as a contributing member of a team.

Capability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.

Minimum one year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related fields.

Ability to cut to size and assemble t-slot frames such as 8020.

Proficient in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting electrical wiring.

Experience with basic electrical assembly, including constructing ethernet connections and wiring/placement of sensors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution; preferably in automation systems and robotics.

Experience with assembly tools and materials.

Background in a manufacturing/assembly setting.

Demonstrated experience with electronics assembly, soldering, and torque-controlled devices.

Proven experience with root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.

Demonstrated experience with quality assurance and facilitating continuous process enhancement.
