We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Assembly Technician to join our team at Argus Technical Services. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling machinery, fabricated parts, and electrical equipment according to designs from our engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble machinery, fabricated parts, and electrical equipment according to designs and specifications.
- Assist with production and project work by managing assigned tasks and collaborating with other team members.
- Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, and blueprints, to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Maintain technical and operational documentation, including quality inspections and maintenance records.
- Perform preventive or corrective maintenance, and conduct quality inspections on products and parts.
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve challenges and improve processes.
- Install finished systems on customer sites, and ensure a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all safety rules and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.
- Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365.
- Experience with hand tools and fabrication equipment, such as plasma tables, CNC, welder, brake press, and band saws.
- Detail-oriented and able to work well as a productive member of a team.
- Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
- One year experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related fields.
- Ability to cut to size and assemble t-slot frames, such as 8020.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical wiring.
- Associate's degree in a technical field from an accredited university or college.
- Experience with assembly tools and materials.
- Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
- Demonstrated experience with electronics assembly, soldering, and torque-controlled devices.
- Demonstrated experience with root-cause and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated experience with quality control and facilitating continuous process improvement.
