We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our Northeast Municipal Engineering Services Group (NEME) in Hoyle Tanner and Associates, Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of civil engineering design professionals in delivering creative, cost-effective, and quality solutions to our clients. This is a hybrid remote position opportunity with in-office core days, offering flexible schedule and remote work options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide junior and staff engineers and CAD teammates in the preparation of calculations, layouts, estimates, and design plans.
  • Work with Project Managers on project budget, scope of services, project schedule, and project development.
  • Contribute to the development of technical and price proposals.
  • Monitor and review spent hours and dollars versus percent complete in relation to project timelines and budget.
  • Develop professional relationships with client peers and understand their organization.
  • Lead the design for land development projects, including site layout, grading, stormwater design, and utility design.
  • Manage engineering staff and prioritize technical tasks to meet changes in schedule or resource availability.
  • Be proficient in technical writing, editing, and presentations.
  • Identify areas of improvement and share best practices and/or improve processes.
  • Develop person-hour estimates and budgets.
  • Act as a technical lead and demonstrate a specialized skill in a subject matter and its application on relevant projects.
  • Potentially be the primary team member responsible for overall quality control of the project.
Requirements
  • BSCE Degree required.
  • 10+ Years of relevant experience.
  • Current PE in either NH, MA, ME, or VT with ability to obtain reciprocal licenses.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, HydroCAD, and other related design civil design software is desired. Hoyle Tanner is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.
