Senior Civil Engineer

About the Job
Rider Solution is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth, NH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting diverse projects related to vertical construction and other Civil Engineering tasks in commercial, industrial, and Federal markets.
Responsibilities
- Support projects throughout New England and our clients and firm offices nationwide.
- Mentor junior engineers and supervise sub-consultants such as fire protection, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and environmental engineers.
- Provide engineering and design for various projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and codes.
- Oversee site design aspects, including building infrastructure layout, utilities, accessibility, stormwater, lighting, landscaping, and environmental protection.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current industry design standards and adopt new technologies and practices.
- Familiarity with planning/zoning standards, industry codes, and standards (IBC, ASCE, ASTM, ANSI, etc.).
- Proficiency with CAD and BIM software, including Autodesk (Civil 3D), HydroCAD, and other industry tools. Revit knowledge is a plus.
- Organize and complete field assignments, including site assessments, engineering investigations, and construction documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of relevant work experience at an A-E consulting firm, manufacturing firm, or construction firm.
- Licensed Professional Civil Engineer, with the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states nationwide preferred.
- Ability to obtain security clearance at active U.S. DoD installations nationwide preferred.
- Advanced technical writing skills and the ability to compose professional documents.
- Experience with Federal/DoD design standards and guides.
- Public presentation capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Project is a plus.
