Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to lead our team of electrical engineers in the design and development of analog, digital, and mixed-signal systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, excellent leadership skills, and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and production of electrical systems, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Manage and report on project progress, identifying potential problems and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure successful technical execution.
- Develop and present technical proposals and presentations to senior leadership and customers.
- Ensure adherence to program plans and schedules, accurately measuring and reporting on progress.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior work experience or an Advanced degree and 7 years of prior work experience.
- Experience working on Naval Programs in the subject areas of acoustics, torpedoes, mine warfare, submarines, and/or Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUVs).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, including members from Engineering, Operations, Global Supply Chain, and Quality.
- Experience transitioning products to production and implementing Risk and Opportunity Management.
- Experience presenting challenging program and technical issues to senior leadership internally and externally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering. Advanced degree in Engineering discipline preferred.
- Experience leading a design release into production and managing diverse and complex tasks across competing priorities.
- 6 years of relevant professional experience managing and/or leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with customers to develop and negotiate SOW requirements and scope.
- Proven ability to interface with customers and lead programmatic and technical discussions to closure.
