Key Responsibilities of the General Manager:

Administration and Organization

  • Possess a thorough understanding of all operational procedures and policies relevant to the club and organization.
  • Effectively communicate and enforce company policies among staff.
  • Encourage teamwork and productivity among employees.
  • Demonstrate sound decision-making abilities.
  • Recruit and onboard top-tier talent.

Sales and Revenue Management

  • Lead, inspire, and manage the sales team effectively.
  • Meet targeted sales and membership objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth through employee motivation and leadership.
  • Implement company initiatives to generate new sales leads for optimal membership expansion.
  • Ensure the sales team maintains accurate tracking of leads and daily activities.
  • Communicate promotions effectively to the sales team and relevant staff.
  • Encourage proactive prospecting and lead generation by membership advisors.
  • Review sales-related communications for clarity and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate weekly sales meetings to discuss strategies and action plans.
  • Ensure sales staff are well-informed about club programs and offerings.
  • Complete sales planners and analyze performance metrics.
  • Promote community engagement among sales staff.

Personal Training and Revenue Management

  • Achieve targeted personal training revenue and session goals.
  • Integrate personal training services into sales presentations to maximize orientation sessions and package sales.

Operations

  • Collaborate with company support functions including Fitness, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, and IT.
  • Address personnel issues by adhering to company protocols.
  • Resolve member concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Foster a welcoming and professional environment that enhances member service quality.
  • Ensure the club meets cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and operational standards.
  • Promptly address visible maintenance issues and ensure proper signage is displayed.
  • Reinforce the idea that cleanliness is a shared responsibility among all staff.
  • Assist with payroll processing and approvals.

Financial Management

  • Implement recovery strategies when financial targets are not met.
  • Understand and manage budgets and financial statements.
  • Control expenses and manage club supply purchases.
  • Maintain expenses within budgetary limits.
  • Articulate variances in financial performance compared to budget.

Leadership and Motivation

  • Serve as a role model for team members.
  • Communicate effectively through regular meetings with key personnel.
  • Create an inspiring environment that encourages open feedback and fosters a quality workplace.

Accountabilities

  • Support company initiatives to generate new sales leads for membership growth.
  • Manage payroll and administrative expenses to meet financial goals.
  • Ensure clubs adhere to Crunch standards for cleanliness and safety.
  • Stay informed about key competitors.
  • Conduct regular facility walk-throughs.

Requirements:

  • Preferred: 4-year college degree.
  • Preferred: 4 years of experience in club management.

  • Proficient in computer applications such as Excel and Word.
