Proven ability to drive mature program operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. 5 years of experience in program or operations management within a high-tech environment. 2 years of experience overseeing cross-functional or cross-team initiatives.

Ability to manage cross-functional initiatives in a data-driven setting.
Exceptional cross-functional communication skills with product teams.

About the Role
At Google, we believe that a problem isn't truly resolved until it is addressed for all. Our products are designed to create opportunities for everyone, whether nearby or globally.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will leverage your technical knowledge to lead intricate, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to outline requirements, identify risks, manage project timelines, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners throughout the organization.

You will be equally adept at articulating your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are at discussing technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Our mission is to cultivate a Google that reflects the diversity of the world around us, ensuring that Googlers have the opportunity to thrive and grow within the company.

In this capacity, you will manage communications related to Google Cloud and Google Workspace security and privacy incidents and vulnerabilities.

You will work alongside a team of professionals, including Engineering, Legal, Support, Public Relations, and key partners in Cloud, Search, and Android, focusing on incident communication planning and execution while applying top operational excellence.

Your role will involve shaping the processes and tools necessary for effective communication management while fostering a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that key stakeholders across various functions remain aligned with Google's communication and compliance commitments to customers and users.

The Core team is responsible for building the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. We advocate for the essential design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google.

These components are vital for delivering excellent, secure, and coherent experiences for our users and drive innovation for every developer.

We examine Google's products to develop central solutions, dismantle technical barriers, and enhance existing systems.

As the Core team, we have a unique opportunity to influence significant technical decisions across the organization.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate and develop communication strategies regarding issues.

Gather and organize insights from technical staff to translate complex technical concepts into understandable formats suitable for all affected stakeholders, both internal and external.

Collaborate with incident response teams and subject matter experts to facilitate notifications related to Google Cloud and Google Workspace products through various communication channels.

Identify and oversee process improvement initiatives aimed at scaling and automating the overall experience and turnaround time for internal and external communications.

Participate in after-hours and weekend work as necessary for critical incidents to meet Google's contractual and regulatory obligations.
