General Overview

The Construction Project Coordinator will oversee all facets of design-build and engineer-procure-construct initiatives. This role encompasses the management and administration of the primary contract, along with supervising the engineering, design, procurement, scheduling, and construction management teams.


This position is pivotal in ensuring effective project execution, including directing and coordinating field operations, as well as managing construction subcontracts and purchase orders.


The Construction Project Coordinator will be responsible for supervising all field activities on assigned projects and may need to carry out project management duties directly from the job site as required.


This role includes auditing and inspecting the work performed by construction subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract specifications and preparing audit reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage integrated Design-Build (DB) and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) teams from project initiation to completion.
  • Provide overall direction and coordination of engineering design and construction activities.
  • Administer and manage the primary contract, construction subcontracts, and purchase orders.
  • Ensure compliance with client goals related to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
  • Plan, execute, and report on overall project performance.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to maintain optimal communication and satisfaction.
  • Proactively mitigate and resolve potential disputes.
  • Develop and oversee compliance with project-specific health and safety plans.
  • Respond to and manage Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Conduct value engineering and constructability reviews.
  • Prepare procurement status reports in collaboration with engineering design, procurement, scheduling, and estimating teams.
  • Develop and oversee subcontractor and supplier scope, pricing, and scheduling exhibits.
  • Coordinate local bidding efforts with procurement teams.
  • Review and approve subcontract and purchase order invoices.
  • Monitor overall progress of engineering design and construction activities.
  • Administer changes to the primary contract as necessary.
  • Develop project-specific schedules and manage progress reporting.
  • Oversee project close-out and warranty administration.
  • Conduct post-construction cost reviews and reporting.
  • Foster positive relationships among project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members.
  • Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Project Management, preferably with direct DB/EPC projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction.

Travel Requirements

Travel may be required up to 50% of the time, depending on project needs.
