Role Overview

Oversee each assigned project in alignment with Forgen's corporate principles of safety and quality, while striving for the most advantageous economic results for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for clients to evaluate project scope and necessary resources for successful completion.
  • Assist in estimating and preparing proposals for assigned bidding opportunities, ensuring thorough review of specifications, drawings, takeoff data, production rates, subcontractors, and overall project strategy.
  • Supervise the entire construction process to guarantee compliance with design, budget, and timeline.
  • Develop basic project schedules and manage all cost administration processes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee onsite operations, including scheduling, engineering, and material management, while providing daily guidance to onsite administrative staff.
  • Understand general contract administration and all project contract requirements comprehensively.
  • Manage employees and subcontractors as dictated by the contract, including hiring and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide technical guidance, such as interpreting drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment.
  • Assume responsibility for employee productivity, effective material and equipment use, and contractual project performance.
  • Oversee the overall profit and loss for assigned projects.
  • Complete additional tasks and special projects as directed.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent project-related experience.

A minimum of five years of progressive Project Management experience, including direct supervisory roles in deep foundations and earth retention projects, is essential.

Fluency in Spanish is advantageous.

Familiarity with USACE QCS System, AutoCAD, Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Experience with In-Situ Stabilization projects is a plus.

A valid Driver's License and the ability to drive for company business are required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient in various project control software, particularly Excel.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to exercise independent judgment and creativity in resolving contract issues.

Physical Requirements

Effective communication with vendors, management, and colleagues, both individually and in group settings, is crucial.

Regular use of telephone and email for communication is essential.

Extended periods of sitting are common.

Minimal physical exertion, occasionally requiring up to 25 pounds of force.

Good manual dexterity for operating standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.

Strong reasoning ability and decision-making skills are important.

Ability to comprehend and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents for business operations.

The role is primarily office-based, with occasional outdoor work at construction sites.
