Position Summary: We are in search of a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who will conduct diagnostic evaluations and provide ongoing medication management for individuals with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities in an outpatient environment. You will collaborate with a committed team of professionals focused on making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation.
  2. Prescribe medications under the guidance of the Medical Director/Psychiatrist.
  3. Evaluate and discuss medication regimens with patients, guardians, team members, and other healthcare providers.
  4. Monitor medication effectiveness and facilitate referrals to physicians for further evaluation.
  5. Provide medical assessments and support in both consultative and emergency situations.
  6. Handle clinical inquiries, including prescription renewals and laboratory requests.
  7. Offer individual and family case consultations.
  8. Ensure client records are maintained in compliance with regulatory standards.
  9. Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and utilization reviews.
  10. Engage in scheduled clinical team meetings.
  11. Deliver in-service training as required.
  12. Adhere to all relevant nursing protocols, regulations, and licensing requirements.
  13. Fulfill on-call duties as necessary.
  14. Facilitate referrals to external agencies or vendors when appropriate.

Qualifications:

  1. Current registration with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
  2. Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution recognized by the National League of Nursing.
  3. A minimum of two years of full-time supervised clinical experience in a multidisciplinary mental health setting (including practicum experience).
  4. Specialization, experience, or interest in working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
  5. Possession of a Federal DEA number and a Massachusetts prescriber registration number for prescribing privileges.

  1. Regularly required to navigate stairs.
  2. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
