About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment: Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation, performing age and disease-specific assessments/data collection independently in a systematic manner focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
  • Planning: Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes, formulating age and disease-specific patient/family-centered goals/outcomes based on assessment data.
  • Implementation: Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care, providing ongoing communication with patient/family, nursing colleagues, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient status, rendered care, and treatment plans.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes, utilizing critical thinking skills based on nursing knowledge to achieve desired patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
  • Must have six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
Licenses and Certifications
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
