Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner provides accessible, culturally appropriate, evidence-based, confidential, high-quality healthcare to students for the diverse student body at a leading research institution, facilitating their personal and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to students, addressing their physical and mental health needs.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices and collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Conduct thorough health assessments, identifying and addressing potential health risks and concerns.
- Provide education and guidance on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with university staff and faculty to promote student health and well-being, and to develop and implement health-related programs and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on internal medicine, primary care, or urgent care.
- Current RN/CNP registration with the Massachusetts Board of Nursing, and current Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration and DEA Registration.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with 3-5 years preferred.
- College health experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent clinical knowledge and judgment, with the ability to function independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and communicate with a diverse population and with other healthcare professionals.
- Experience with electronic health records, and proficiency in performing health care assessments and developing treatment plans.
