Job Summary

Sioux Chief Mfg Co, Inc is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative - Trench Drain Solutions, you will be responsible for driving new business and cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with Contractors, Engineers, and Distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive New Business: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive new business and meet sales goals.
  • Cultivate Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with Contractors, Engineers, and Distributors to increase sales and revenue.
  • Product Training: Conduct product training to help drive brand awareness, specifications, and demand.
  • Lead Qualification: Qualify and quantify leads from subscribed lead services.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to engineers and contractors on all aspects of trench drain products.
  • Travel: Travel as needed (50%-75%) in assigned territory to ensure maximum results and meet sales objectives.
  • Reporting: Complete all reporting as required, including sales calls and expenses.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Trade Shows: Attend trade shows to market and position Sioux Chief as an industry leader in the trench drainage market.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain working knowledge of other SCM specification drainage products for cross-promotion and ancillary revenue opportunities.
  • Rep Agencies: Identify, vet, hire, and train Rep Agencies as needed.
  • Support: Assist other SCM personnel, Regional Sales Managers, and Regional Sales Support with trench drain inquiries.
  • Market Intel: Gather competitive market intel to enhance understanding of strengths and weaknesses.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred and sales experience, preferably in the plumbing industry.
  • Teamwork: Must work well in a team environment, contributing ideas and sharing best practices.
  • Communication: Must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organization: Detail-oriented and possess excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM systems.
  • Travel: Ability to perform physical demands such as walking on the plant floor, job sites, lifting products, setting up displays, and using hand and power tools.
