Job Summary

As a key member of the M/I Homes team, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales department in achieving profit potentials, quota attainment, and sales goal achievement. This role requires a strong customer-service orientation, self-motivation, and excellent leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate sales staff to achieve weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goals
  • Monitor and enhance New Home Sales Consultant performance and efficiency
  • Assign sales team quotas, goals, and sales areas, and continuously monitor these goals and team morale
  • Act as liaison between sales team, homeowners, production, office staff, and other management team members to resolve issues and concerns
  • Recruit and retain high-quality personnel and cull out low-performance personnel when necessary
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in sales and marketing techniques
  • Strong customer-service orientation and ability to handle difficult situations
  • Self-motivated with persuasive attitude and outstanding leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside the organization
