HR Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized HR Representative to join our team at HomeServices of America Inc. As an HR Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to employees and managers, while also handling various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and professional assistance to employees and managers regarding benefits, payroll, policy, leaves of absence, and other HR-related inquiries.
- Accurately enter employee data and changes into our HRIS system in a timely manner.
- Initiate and monitor new hire onboarding activities, produce accurate new hire documentation, and ensure benefits enrollment follow-up.
- Complete ad hoc inquiries, including unemployment claims, garnishments, and employment verifications.
- Manage leaves of absence, including partnering with third-party vendors.
- Maintain personnel records and ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Ensure proper termination paperwork is provided to exiting employees and routine exit activities are performed in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal regulations to provide accurate guidance to employees and managers.
- Meet all performance and behavior expectations outlined in the company performance appraisal form or communicated by management.
- Perform responsibilities as directed, achieving desired results within expected time frames and with a high degree of quality and professionalism.
- Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships with all staff, customers, and business partners.
- Demonstrate the necessary behavioral and technical competencies to effectively complete job responsibilities and take personal initiative for technical and professional development.
- Follow the company HR Policy, the Code of Business Conduct, and all subsidiary and department policies and procedures.
- Associates degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience or knowledge.
- 2-3 years of previous general human resources experience.
- Experience in HR administrative activities preferred.
- HRIS experience - UKG preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of employment law and common Human Resources practices/programs.
- High proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and email.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
$25.00 - $28.85 hourly; actual wage is based upon education and experience.

LocationThis position is remote or based out of the Edina, MN home office with work-from-home flexibility.
