Nursing Home Administrator:
Explore the essential skills, experience, and qualifications required for success in this pivotal role.

Licensure Requirements:
Must hold a valid Nursing Home Administrator's license. An Assisted Living license is not applicable for this position.

Compensation:
$130,000 - $165,000

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategically plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and oversee the facility's programs and activities.
2. Formulate and uphold written policies and procedures along with professional standards that guide the operations of the facility.
3. Assign administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to staff members.

4. Collaborate with department heads regarding departmental operations, meeting regularly to ensure continuous information exchange.

5. Identify staffing requirements, conduct interviews, hire personnel, perform annual evaluations, provide counseling, and manage employee performance.

6. Prepare an annual operational budget, analyze monthly financial reports, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the facility's capability to deliver quality care.

7. Engage in state and federal evaluations of the facility, addressing any deficiencies and formulating corrective action plans.
8. Foster positive employee relations, enhance employee morale, and promote teamwork.
9. Develop a robust public relations strategy that benefits both the facility and the community.
10. Review the facility's Quality Measures data and public information for accuracy.

11. Safeguard the confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring all staff are trained and compliant with this policy.


Qualifications:
1. Must possess a valid Nursing Home Administrator license.
2. A bachelor's degree in public health administration or a related field.
3. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a skilled nursing environment.
4. Comprehensive understanding of OBRA regulations, the survey process, survey tag numbers, and quality measures.

5. Familiarity with reimbursement regulations, nursing practices, and the laws and guidelines governing nursing facility administration.
