  • The Trauma and Spine unit comprises 44 beds, focusing on delivering exceptional care to medical-surgical patients, particularly those recovering from spinal surgeries and trauma incidents.
  • We frequently care for individuals affected by motor vehicle accidents, injuries from recreational activities, and elderly patients who have suffered falls.
  • Our team collaborates closely with other trauma units to ensure comprehensive patient care throughout their recovery.

Job Summary and Qualifications


The Clinical Nurse Supervisor (CNS) ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and oversees all functions within the unit during their designated shift.

In collaboration with the management team, the CNS directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serving as a resource for staff and exemplifying a commitment to the organization's mission and values.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessments of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that supports improved outcomes and service delivery.
  • Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery as needed.
  • Support facility engagement initiatives through nursing strategies and staff rounding.
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, and training of new staff, and manage performance evaluations and compliance with personnel policies.
  • Oversee staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs.
  • Ensure proper inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years of hire).
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • National Nursing Certification in a relevant specialty.
