Job Title: Senior Business Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Operations Director to join our team at the American Heart Association. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing, planning, managing, and implementing operations and supporting special events for our Puget Sound and Portland Division offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage direct reports and provide staff leadership to ensure effective delivery of division operations and oversight of data management.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to internal business partners on policies and procedures, creating solutions that drive business goals while ensuring risk is managed.
  • Develop, track, and manage campaign and operations budgets, overseeing invoice processing and ensuring accurate coding of income and expenses.
  • Lead data management for the Division, creating and running reports from internal databases and systems, and ensuring accuracy and adherence to Association policies and practices.
  • Coordinate facility repairs and maintain office equipment, overseeing Accounting Liaison and finance responsibilities, including mail and donation processing, accounts receivables, and fiscal compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison to allocate resources for projects/events and manage timelines for projects involving multiple departments.
  • Collaborate on volunteer recruitment and management, including training volunteers and planning and managing assignments on-site during events.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in managing complex operations and projects in a high-performing team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with proactive communication, thorough planning, and execution.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional, calm, and friendly manner in creating positive customer experiences externally and internally.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential issues that may impact organizational productivity and/or compliance and address them proactively and timely.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or management.
  • Knowledge of the American Heart Association's standards and procedures.
  • Experience with sales or fundraising strategies, managing staff and volunteers, and negotiating services and managing service level agreements.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $74,000 to $88,920, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as a robust retirement program and employee assistance program.
