Restaurant Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at El Pollo Loco. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of our restaurant, including sales and profit goals, guest satisfaction, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the restaurant's sales and profit plan, analyzing operating statements to identify problems and taking corrective action to improve results.
- Ensure that all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner according to established procedures, performance standards, and specifications.
- Communicate effectively with guests, employees, and management to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and a positive work environment.
- Supervise and train hourly employees and management team members to ensure they meet expectations and are equipped to provide excellent service.
- Manage inventory levels, cash handling, and security policies to ensure the restaurant is in compliance with company standards.
- Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of restaurant management and hourly employees.
- Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing health, sanitation, and safety.
- Minimum of one year management experience in the hospitality business.
- High school degree or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to effectively speak, read, and write in English.
- Guest Focus: Responds to guest needs, uses guest feedback, and responds to guest concerns and complaints effectively.
- Communication: Communicates clearly, concisely, accurately, and timely (oral and written), facilitates well-organized meetings and group discussions effectively.

- Leadership: Fosters teamwork, cooperation, and involves others, creates a positive work environment, takes responsibility for own actions and decisions.
- Planning and Organizing: Sets objectives and priorities, develops effective plans to accomplish goals, shows good judgment and learns from experience.
- Extensive standing without breaks.
- Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold.
- Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and bending to touch the floor.
- Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided.
- Must be able to work irregular hours and under heavy pressure/stress during busy times.
