The Security Associate is tasked with ensuring a secure and safe atmosphere for all residents, visitors, and staff, while welcoming each individual with a friendly and courteous attitude.

The following responsibilities are expected for this role. This list is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned.

  • While stationed at the security desk, personnel will confirm the scheduled presence of all residents, visitors, and staff, as well as third-party contractors on the premises.
  • Security personnel will perform patrols of both the interior and exterior areas to uphold a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, staff, their belongings, and company property. Additionally, they will ensure that all entry points are securely locked.
  • Report any suspicious activities or individuals.
  • Assist residents who are locked out of their apartments.
  • Participate in resident elopement situations.
  • Provide assistance during emergency calls when necessary.
  • Guide emergency medical services and other emergency personnel to the required locations on the property.
  • Complete daily security and incident reports and distribute them to the relevant parties promptly.
  • Ensure that appropriate notifications are made regarding major incidents or emergencies.
  • Ensure that staff vehicles are parked in designated areas and enforce parking regulations.
  • Handle minor maintenance requests after the maintenance department has concluded their shifts.
  • Exhibit proper phone etiquette while assigned to the concierge desk.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
  • One year of experience in security is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A Class D Security License is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Prior law enforcement or military experience is preferred but not mandatory.
