Work Schedule:

PRN - Availability on weekends is required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts all imaging examinations following established protocols. Ensures proper patient identification prior to procedures. Provides patient education regarding the examination process. Screens patients for any potential contrast allergies.
  • Executes various imaging procedures and operates all necessary equipment safely and effectively, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and other medical devices. Demonstrates proficiency in performing scans on patients of all ages, adjusting protocols as needed.
  • Conducts thorough screenings for patients of childbearing age and operates imaging equipment safely to minimize radiation exposure to patients, families, and colleagues. Adheres to infection control standards and utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectants. Maintains a well-stocked, organized, and clean work environment.
  • Positions patients and equipment accurately and selects technical parameters to produce radiographic images that meet the standards set by Radiologists, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Handles clerical tasks, including answering phone calls, managing patient records, filing, and scheduling appointments.
  • Provides direct patient care within the technologist's scope of practice, employing proper infection control techniques.
  • Delivers basic patient care, which includes monitoring patient conditions, ensuring comfort, safety, and privacy. Collects and documents patient histories and explains procedures clearly.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned. Summary: Responsible for conducting radiographic imaging procedures, assisting patients, managing clerical responsibilities, and providing basic patient care in accordance with departmental standards. Must adhere to the Hospital Corporate compliance plan and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as the standards of accrediting bodies.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Science program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • A.R.R.T. registration.
  • State license as a General Radiographer, if applicable.
