Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Choice Hotels International. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business strategies for the hotel that align with our overall mission, vision, and values.
  • Maximize profitability and revenue by directing the Engineering department and managing third-party vendors.
  • Manage the Engineering department and ensure superior service and quality.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs and conduct annual compliance training.
  • Review contracts and negotiate revisions with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Interpret plans and contract terms with the Engineering team, management, clients, and vendors.
  • Manage the relationship with the outsourced security company.
  • Monitor compliance with building safety codes, protocols, health and safety laws, and other regulations.
  • Conduct walk-throughs to assess the safety and efficiency of equipment and maintenance of structure.
  • Maintain Responsible Business programs and training for the hotel.
  • Manage hotel renovations and coordinate project status with Corporate Technical Services, architects, licensing agencies, contractors, and hotel management.
  • Develop and implement strategies and practices that support employee engagement.
  • Create 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience in the hotel industry.
  • Minimum of two years work experience at a similar size hotel.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Able to resolve conflicts with guests, supervisors, and employees.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork.
  • Advanced knowledge of building management and engineering.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • General understanding of insurance requirements.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
