Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Planning: Define and execute category strategies that align with Kathy Kuo Home's brand and business goals. Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify product opportunities and gaps. Develop a merchandise assortment plan that meets customer demand, seasonal needs, and brand positioning.
  • Product Development and Sourcing: Collaborate with suppliers and internal design teams to develop unique and high-quality products. Oversee product selection, ensuring each item aligns with KKH quality and design standards. Negotiate terms with vendors to secure favorable pricing and enhance product value.
  • Inventory Management and Forecasting: Monitor stock levels, sales trends, and reordering points to optimize inventory. Partner with supply chain teams to manage product flow and ensure timely delivery. Use demand forecasting to inform purchasing decisions and maintain inventory balance.
  • Sales and Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data and key performance indicators to evaluate product performance, customer preferences, and profitability. Identify underperforming products and implement strategies to improve performance or phase them out. Develop promotional and pricing strategies to maximize revenue and customer engagement.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with the marketing and e-commerce teams to develop product presentations and visual merchandising strategies. Facilitate cross-functional meetings to coordinate on launches, promotions, and seasonal collections. Provide training and mentorship to team members on product knowledge and merchandising practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of merchandising experience, preferably in lighting, rugs, or home decor accessories.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and merchandising software; experience with ERP or PLM systems is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A keen eye for design trends, aesthetics, and customer preferences in the home decor space.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Salary Estimate: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
