About the Role

Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Life Support Systems Technician to join our team. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for managing life support systems, including ozone generation and treatment, chlorine dosing, fractionators, and associated computer controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain life support systems to ensure optimal water quality and animal health
  • Collaborate with the LSS Supervisor to develop and implement life support systems protocols
  • Lead the team in building, repairing, and maintaining pumps, filters, valves, and actuators
  • Acquire and maintain necessary certifications, including AALSO Life Support Operator Level II and dive certification
  • Experience with RCK control systems is highly desirable

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in life support systems maintenance and operation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
