Job Opportunity at Discovery Therapy

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Specialist Consultant to join our Early Intervention team at Discovery Therapy. As a Behavioral Specialist Consultant, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing individualized ABA programs for children with developmental and/or learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure seamless implementation of treatment plans.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to Therapeutic Support Staff to ensure effective implementation of ABA programs.
  • Consult and collaborate with schools, daycares, and other related disciplines to ensure comprehensive support for children and families.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in psychology, education, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of post-college education experience implementing ABA programs for individuals under 21 with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder or other related diagnoses.
  • Knowledge and ability to implement appropriate assessment tools and practices for children ages three to five.
  • Proficient with adaptive/functional clinical assessments, ABA Program/Goal Development, and ABA Behavior Reduction and Skills Acquisition Procedures.
  • Competent to address the age-specific issues relative to the population served.
  • Ability to clinically address emotional/psychological needs of child/adolescent and family.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
