Psychiatric Technician I/correctional Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician I to join our team at the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. As a Psychiatric Technician I, you will play a critical role in providing mental health care to clients in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including helping clients with personal hygiene and recording vital signs.
- Assist professional staff members in providing and documenting occupational, recreational, and vocational therapy programs.
- Administer prescribed medications to clients in acute psychiatric settings.
- Sign applications for immediate 72-hour detention of disturbed psychiatric clients, as needed.
- A valid and active license as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
- A valid California Class "C" Driver's License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
