Psychiatric Technician I Correctional Health

About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to work in our correctional health services department. As a Psychiatric Technician I Correctional Health, you will be responsible for providing direct care to clients who are mentally ill or emotionally disturbed.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist professional staff members in the delivery of mental health services
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including helping clients with personal hygiene
- Record measures of the client's physical condition, such as pulse, temperature, and respiration
- Aid or restrain clients to prevent injury to themselves or others
- Prepare appropriate forms in connection with emergency calls and maintenance of client records
- Administer prescribed medications to clients in acute psychiatric settings
- Valid and active license as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians
- A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed
