About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to work in our Correctional Health Services department. As a Psychiatric Technician I, you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients with mental health issues in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist professional staff members in the delivery of mental health services
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including helping clients with personal hygiene and recording vital signs
- Administer prescribed medications to clients in acute psychiatric settings
- Sign applications for immediate 72-hour detention of disturbed psychiatric clients
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Valid and active license as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
