Psychiatric Technician I/Correctional Health

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Technician I to join our team in Correctional Health Services. As a Psychiatric Technician I, you will work directly with clients in a correctional facility, providing specialized services to deliver mental health treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Apply principles of mental health in relationships with mentally ill or emotionally disturbed clients
- Observe, evaluate, record, and report significant changes in client condition
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including personal hygiene and physical condition measurements
- Aid or restrain clients to prevent injury
- Prepare forms related to emergency calls, client evaluation, and record maintenance
- Assist professional staff in providing and documenting occupational, recreational, and vocational therapy programs
- Administer prescribed medications to clients in acute psychiatric settings
- Valid and active license as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians
- Valid California Class C Driver's License or ability to utilize alternative transportation
The position works directly within a correctional facility, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with clients in a professional and empathetic manner.
