Position Overview

The Chief Technology Officer at Phoenix Group of Virginia, Inc. will take charge of the IT department, overseeing essential functions such as Help Desk operations, Networking infrastructure, Hardware upkeep, Software management, and Vulnerability assessments. This role is pivotal in aligning technology initiatives with the company's strategic objectives to foster growth and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the Help Desk team to ensure prompt resolution of user inquiries and technical issues.
  • Formulate and execute networking strategies to maintain a secure, reliable, and scalable network environment.
  • Guarantee that all hardware and software systems are consistently maintained and updated to enhance performance and minimize disruptions.
  • Oversee software licensing and ensure adherence to vendor agreements.
  • Design and implement software deployment and patch management protocols.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation strategies.
  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring all technology-related expenses align with the approved financial plan.
  • Identify and integrate innovative technologies that enhance business operations and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various departments to assess technology needs and explore improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure the security and protection of company data and systems against cyber threats.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Document, communicate, and enforce all IT policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in IT leadership, focusing on Help Desk, Networking, Hardware, Software, and Vulnerability Management.
  • Demonstrated success in crafting and executing technology strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong project management expertise, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Experience in managing IT financial resources.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the COO/CISO.

Work Environment:

The role is primarily office-based, utilizing standard office equipment. Occasional travel may be necessary, and work hours may vary based on business requirements.
