Engineering Production Coordinator

Wanco Inc. is in search of a dedicated Engineering Production Coordinator who possesses enthusiasm, intelligence, and a strong work ethic to enhance the value stream.

The primary role of the coordinator involves managing and synchronizing actions and timelines related to engineering modifications, item master, and BOM upkeep. Key responsibilities encompass engineering change requests, sales order configuration, process and product execution, along with build-out assessments.

Essential Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of experience working within an ERP system.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills to develop build-out plans for target timelines.

Proven experience in data analysis, including SQL queries and custom reporting.

A proactive approach to making informed decisions that benefit the organization.

Exceptional relationship-building abilities.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.

Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.

Strong organizational skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Demonstrated proficiency with project management software
  • Understanding of material debits and credits within the value stream

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate the Engineering Change Request process.

Calculate and develop material burn downs, utilizing these dates as target release timelines. Coordinate data and production transitions for the finalization of ECRs.

Oversee production implementation.

Manage pilot builds.

Handle rework and inventory transfers.

Update purchase orders and job statuses.

Ensure all relevant documentation and materials are current and properly organized.

Maintain and revise process workflows, continuously seeking to minimize waste.

Develop workflows for Software and PCBA ECR releases.

Assist with CM overflow tasks as necessary.

Conduct weekly meetings.

  • Support Software and PCBA production releases (details will be clearer after the initial change gate meeting).
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate resources for releasing engineering data to third-party service portals.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate resources for releasing engineering data to the ERP system for Engineering Review Sales Orders.
  • Act as an EPDM champion.
  • Maintain workflows, data cards, and Solidworks system files.
  • Coordinate updates to macro-driven templates.
  • Assist in creating custom reports through SQL and Intelliplex portals.
  • Validate production builds with floor personnel and coordinate resources for documentation updates.
  • Support PET ticket overflow.
  • Contribute to lean initiatives as assigned.
  • Assist with safety initiatives as assigned.
  • Coach and train personnel outside of the team on processes and best practices as required.
  • Engage with internal clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments, utilizing standard office equipment, including computers.

Comfortable working directly in a manufacturing setting while adhering to PPE requirements.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Production Engineering Manager without direct reports.

Compensation: $23-$36 per hour.
